Position Overview:  Our ideal candidate has a broad analytical skill set and communication skills, can adapt quickly to changing winds, and is comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This would be applied in cyber risk policy and compliance, as well as working alongside development teams to enhance further product alignment to changing user and market feedback. This position requires aptitude in data modeling, cyber standards and frameworks, and learning quickly while keeping things organized in a startup environment.

 

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

       Develop new cyber product modules for the SecurityGate.io platform that align with industry-specific cyber standards and regulations (e.g., CSF, NIST 800-53, IEC 62443-4-2)

       Map cyber controls to risks, threats, and impacts for client-based, government, regulatory, and standalone cyber standards and frameworks

       Conducts in-depth research and competitive market analysis of similar products 

       Liaison with the development team based on feedback and prep data for development.

       Serve as special project lead for R&D on innovative features and products 

       Assist with building and product roadmap in changing conditions 

       Create prototypes of new workflows and products

       Leverage automation tools to help organize and prep data

 

Core Skills & Experience:

       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math 

       Experience working with cross-functional, dynamic technical teams 

       Experience and familiarity with data science tools, methodologies, and applications of machine learning using Natural Language Processing 

       Knowledge of risk quantification, quantifying qualitative variables, and statistics

       Knowledge of data mining methodologies and best practices 

       2-3 years of experience in data analytics, modeling and design

       Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing with people at all levels in an organization 

       Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals and drive progress 

       Critical thinking skills to recommend original and productive ideas that align with company goals 

       Demonstrated analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to structure and solve problems 

 

Nice to have: 

       Familiarity with NIST and other Cyber Security Risk and Governance frameworks 

       Familiarity with mapping cyber controls to risks, threats, and impacts 

       Familiar with software/product development lifecycles and agile tools and methodologies
